Our team of dedicated health professionals have been providing medical care to the Torquay and Anglesea communities for many decades. From humble beginnings of one doctor at each practice in the 1970s, we have grown to ten doctors in Torquay and six in Anglesea. Not only do our doctors work here, but most live locally and are active members of the local community. Being co-located with the Barwon Health Community Health Centre brings with it the benefit of easy access to the services provided by Barwon Health such as Dietitian, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech pathology and Mental Health. In addition to this, Barwon Medical Imaging provide on-site radiology services and Clinical Labs provide pathology services. If the service that you require is not available on-site, our doctors have a wide range of skilled specialists both in Geelong and other locations to whom they can refer. Surfcoast Medical Centre has been accredited by General Practice Accreditation Pty Ltd, in recognition of having met the Australian General Practice standards of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. We participate in quality improvement activities and are committed to a culture of continual improvement. We are committed to training the health professionals of the future and are a training practice for GP Registrars and students of medicine & nursing.
