Skye Hueneke was born in Mt Gambier, South Australia and moved to Newcastle to study Medicine in 1999. After graduating in 2003 she moved to Sydney to complete her internship at Bankstown Hospital. Skye moved back down south and completed her Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Geelong before starting her GP training in Camperdown. She then finished her training on the Surf Coast and currently works in both Torquay and Anglesea. Skye has completed a Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine.
Skye enjoys the diversity of general practice with a special interest in women and children’s health. She provides holistic family planning care including IUD and Implanon insertions, pre-pregnancy and unplanned pregnancy counselling and enjoys providing shared obstetric care with the Geelong Hospital.
Outside of the clinic Skye can be found surfing, bike riding or travelling.
