Amala graduated from the University of Colombo in 1998. She completed her Residency at the Fremantle Hospital in Western Australia, Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and the Geelong Hospital covering primarily Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, ENT and Accident and Emergency. Amala commenced her General Practice pathway in Colac in 2005 attaining her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General practitioners in 2006, prior to joining Surfcoast Medical Centre Torquay in 2007. Amala enjoys the diversity of general practice ranging from pregnancy care, paediatric and adolescent health to managing chronic illness and aged care.
