Northpoint Eyecare is a new, state of the art Ophthalmological practice, centrally located in North Lakes which is rapidly becoming the hub of the northern suburbs of Brisbane. The aim of the practice is to provide comprehensive surgical and medical ophthalmic care in a modern, paperless practice with cutting edge technology and communication techniques.

Our experienced doctors are committed to serving the area into the future and we welcome both routine and urgent ophthalmic referrals. Our facilities include the latest in diagnostic and imaging equipment, and we are able to communicate with you about your conditions on large screen monitors in all the consulting rooms.

We have a minor operation theatre and the latest Argon, YAG and SLT lasers for treatment of various conditions in the rooms. Our surgery is performed locally with access to day surgery and inpatient facilities.

In addition to our private practice at Northpoint Eyecare, Dr Slaughter and Dr Smith are also Visiting Medical Officers at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. We are able to offer Intermediate Surgery to unisured patients, with their clinical work-up and follow-up, for all their ophthalmic conditions, provided locally at the practice.
