Dr Eryn Davies began her psychology studies with an interest in Autism and Asperger’s and went on to completed her doctoral studies through the University of Southern Queensland with a specialisation and thesis focusing on attachment in the early toddler/preschool years and parents mental health. While further pursuing her passion and training within the Autism field, Eryn was able to combine her knowledge and skills in Autism assessment, therapy and family support with her doctoral training in attachment and trauma theory, including exposure therapy. This has led to Eryn providing comprehensive assessment and therapeutic support to children, adolescents and adults on the Autism Spectrum while maintain her therapeutic trauma work with children and adults.

Dr Davies currently provides developmental trauma assessments for government and private agencies, and comprehensive Autism and Learning Assessments for families and schools intermixed with therapy. This specialisation has developed not only from her original studies, but 10 years’ experience in the public and private sectors of mental health, including Child and Adolescent Mental Health teams, Pediatric Community teams and Care and Protection and Canberra Hospital teams.

Dr Davies initially expanded her established practice from Corinna Chambers Psychologists to be the co-director of Canberra Psychology Centre for Children and Families. However Dr Davies soon developed a focus on community commitment and psychological assessment and care that lead to the new team of Capital Psychology Clinic with co-director Jenna Keen. Eryn is very excited to be able to provide a high level of community support and involvement through the new practice while still maintaining her commitment to comprehensive assessment and care for those on the Autism Spectrum or with trauma backgrounds. Dr Davies also enjoys presenting at mental health forums and conferences to support her colleagues.

While not in the office, you may see Eryn skiing in the mountains or participating in triathlons with her family.
