Dr Theo Athanasiadis is an ENT surgeon with expertise in all areas of adult and paediatric ENT. His main areas of interest include Laryngology – Voice & Swallowing disorders; Advanced Rhinology – nasal obstruction, sinus disease; Paediatric ENT – grommets, adenotonsillectomy; Sleep Apnoea and Snoring.
Dr Athanasiadis is one of only a handful of fellowship trained laryngologists in Australia. He visits the Sunshine Coast every 2-3 months where he runs a voice clinic with acoustic analysis and HD videostroboscopy. He performs minimally invasive laryngeal procedures under local anaesthesia and has expertise in voice restoration. Theo leads the Flinders Medical Centre voice clinic in Adelaide and is a Senior Lecturer at Flinders University.
He has particular expertise in the “voice lift” procedure
Dr Athanasiadis has a PhD in rhinology and expertise in complex and revision sinus surgery.
He has an academic interest in sleep apnoea and has lectured at international courses for sleep apnoea surgery.
