Dr Tang Wong (Endocrinologist)

Dr Tang Wong graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (honours) from the University of NSW in 2003 and undertook training in endocrinology at the Concord Repatriation, Prince of Wales and Bankstown-Lidcombe hospitals.

He is currently appointed as an Endocrinologist at both Prince of Wales and Bankstown-Lidcombe hospital.

Tang is a dedicated teacher and holds an appointment as a conjoint lecturer at UNSW. He is also co-supervisor of advanced training in Endocrinology.

He has published a chapter in an endocrinology text book in cooperation with the US endocrine society and has also published in a number of peer reviewed journals. He currently sits on the editorial board of the Diabetes Management Journal.

While he has a passion for all things in general endocrinology (type 1 and 2 diabetes, thyroid, bone, pituitary, adrenal and PCOS) , he has a particular interest in diabetes in pregnancy, which is his area of active research. ​ In 2011, he was awarded the Emerging investigator (researcher) award and subsequently in 2013 the best poster award by the Australian Diabetes in Pregnancy Society. He is a member of the Endocrine society of Australia, the Australian Diabetes Society, the Australian Diabetes in Pregnancy society and the US endocrine society.
