Dr Elgene Lim (Medical Oncologist)

Dr Elgene Lim received his medical training from the University of Melbourne and completed his fellowship in Medical Oncology after serving in the Airforce. In 2006, he embarked on a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at the Walter & Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research. In 2010, he joined the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as a Fulbright Victoria scholar and a NHMRC post-doctoral fellow. He was admitted to the Harvard faculty as an instructor in medicine in 2012. His post doctoral work was in the area of translational breast cancer research, with a focus on steroid hormone receptor signalling. He returned to Melbourne, Australia in 2014 as a Senior Clinical Research Fellow and Staff Oncologist at the Olivia Newton John Cancer and Wellness Centre and Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research.
