Dr Samantha Angelakis is a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about working with adolescents and adults to improve their wellbeing. Samantha completed her Honours in Psychology and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Flinders University. Herresearch background and experience is in the treatment of anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and depression. Specifically, within her PhD she completed a treatment trial for the treatment of trauma and depression.
In her clinical practice Samantha delivers cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based treatments to adult and adolescents with a wide range of emotional and behavioural problems such as anxiety, stress, depression, PTSD, and relationship problems. Her area of interest is the treatment of trauma and PTSD. Samantha’s therapy approaches are based on principles of CBT, behavioural activation, cognitive processing therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy. Samantha consults with clients and families and also provides supervision and training related to the treatment of trauma. She also provides group therapy for trauma.
