Rosa Medina Barron (Psychologist)
Rosa completed a Bachelor of Science, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology Advanced, a Master of Professional Psychology and a Master of Professional Psychology Practice. Rosa is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Rosa trained in multiple evidence-based interventions, including Client-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Schema Therapy. Rosa has extensive experience working with clients with conditions that include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, trauma, interpersonal difficulties, life transitions, substance abuse, eating disorders, and personality disorders. Rosa has worked in various settings, including schools, universities, not-for-profit organisations, residential care, employment services, and private practice. Rosa is proficient in attending individuals across the lifespan and from diverse cultural backgrounds and vulnerable groups, such as people with disabilities, the LGBT community, international students, recent migrants, and refugees. Rosa provides psychological services in both English and Spanish.
