Renae is a Registered Psychologist who has experience working with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities across the lifespan; providing assessment, behaviour support, and counselling services for people with a disability. Renae considers the role of parents, schools, and services in promoting the wellbeing of an individual, and liaises where appropriate. With experience working in a multidisciplinary team, Renae acknowledges the importance of a collaborative approach with other allied health professionals for a holistic approach to an individual’s care.
Renae enjoys working across the lifespan, being mindful of specific issues that can present at each life stage. Renae has experience with working with behavioural, anxiety, and mood disorders, personality and developmental disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex Developmental Trauma.
Renae uses various therapeutic techniques based on her clients needs, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Neurofeedback and Trauma Model Therapy.
