Rachel is a Clinical Psychologist, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency ( AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Rachel has undertaken training across a broad range of therapeutic approaches, for example, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and where appropriate uses an adapted version to best suit the needs of the person. Rachel is also trained in providing behavioural support and parenting support. Rachel particularly enjoys working with children, adolescents and young adults, up to the age of 25. She has over 20 years experience, working in schools, hospitals and community health and public mental health settings, including disability services. She has significant experience working with young people on the autistic spectrum and those who have an intellectual disability. Rachel has a keen interest in helping those who struggle with anxiety issues, inc social anxiety, OCD, phobias etc. She has also worked extensively with young people who experience depression and other mood disorders, alongside other significant life events, such as bullying, relationship / friendship issues and adjustment issues. Rachel also has an interest in working with parents, to help them to support their children with behavioural and emotional difficulties.
