Patrick Sheehan (Clinical Psychologist)

Patrick is a warm and collaborative clinical psychologist who has experience in working with adolescents and adults in community, university and hospital settings. He has a particular interest in working with anxiety, mood difficulties, self esteem and life adjustment in adolescents and adults. He is a member of the Anxiety Practitioners Network and has experience working in mood disorders units, adolescent clinics, cancer care, and early intervention for childhood mental health. Patrick concurrently works within the Counselling and Psychological Services at the University of Sydney where he specialises in improving the knowledge and responses of family/friends to mental health episodes. Evidence based therapeutic approaches primarily include acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, and mindfulness based approaches.
