Tania Dickinson is a registered Clinical Psychologist (Registrar) with AHPRA, and member of the Australian Psychological Society.

Tania’s therapeutic style is client-centered and holistic. She draws on her clinical skills and experience to build strong therapeutic relationships to develop a tailored approach for each client.

Tania assists people with a range of psychological concerns, including trauma, anxiety (including phobias and post-traumatic stress), depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders (including borderline personality disorder), eating disorders and eating issues (anorexia nervosa, bulimia, binge eating, and obesity). Tania combines components from the modalities of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Therapy, Mindfulness and psychodynamic approaches with clients.

Tania often works alongside other health professionals where appropriate, and includes parents and families in the therapeutic process if helpful.

Special interests:

Health psychology Neuropsychology Self-esteem, social anxiety. Eating disorders, including every-day problematic eating behaviours, and obesity. The treatment of trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and phobia using Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Tania’s Masters of Psychology (Clinical) research was a systematic review and meta-analysis focusing on the executive functioning of individuals with bipolar disorder.

In addition to her private practice roles Tania’s work history includes: leadership and management, organisational consultancy (government and private sector companies), vocational rehabilitation, and employee assistance programs.
