My philosphy to injury management is that it needs to be proactive and holistic in nature, empowering patients with knowledge of their injury and providing a treatment plan to positively enhance the recovery process. I have experience running small group pilates (equipment and matwork classes) and functional core classes. I have also provided one on one pilates sessions, aimed at designing a specific individualised pilates and functional based exercise programme for different patient groups, from sports specific rehabilitation to ante- and post- natal mums.
My sports interests include basketball, dancing, snow sports, martial arts, Barre classes and gym training. My specific areas of interest lies in the pelvis, spine, ribs, and in specific functional rehabilitation incorporating the application of clinical pilates as part of this process. Through my own injury management journey as a result of having a hypermobile bodytype and post-natal rehabilitation, I am particularly interested in correcting movement dysfunctions and non optimal postural behaviours in my clinical practice.
As physiotherapist I have been privileged to work for:
Mounties Football Club of the State League Division One Competition (1st Grade & Under 20's) NSW Women's Hockey Team (Under 21's)
