Simone Turner is a registered psychologist. She completed a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology at the University of Wollongong, graduating in 2000. Following this she worked overseas (Canada) with individuals with acquired brain injuries. Upon her return to Australia in 2005, Simone completed a two year clinical supervision internship program. In addition to this she completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling in 2007. Simone is registered with Workcover NSW and is an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Simone specialises in working with couples, in particular, assisting couples to communicate better, manage conflict more effectively, learn to compromise and enhance intimacy. She works with both heterosexual and same-sex couples. Simone is a Gottman trained relationship therapist and is currently pursing certification as an Emotionally Focused Couples therapist.
In addition to relationship counselling Simone is able to assist individuals with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, panic disorder, sleep problems, stress management, trauma, anger management, chronic pain and workplace stress.
Simone is available for daytime and out of hours appointments. She is registered to provide services under GP mental health plans, Workcover and CTP.
