Rosemary Taylor is an exceptionally skilled and insightful counsellor with over 35 years’ professional experience. She is a member of the AASW, and has worked extensively in the private and public sectors. In addition to her work teaching counselling skills and providing clinical supervision to other counsellors, Rosemary specialises in providing effective therapeutic support to adolescents, individual adults, couples and families.

Rosemary is very down-to-earth and approachable, and committed to providing a safe, trusting space for her clients to explore and resolve their concerns. She helps her clients to integrate their everyday experiences with practical, solution-focused counselling. Rather than feeling overwhelmed by problems, Rosemary’s clients come to recognise unhelpful patterns, disconnect present issues from the past, and move forward confidently with their lives. Rosemary is deeply committed to nurturing her clients’ capacity to heal, change, and grow.

Rosemary takes a client-centred and collaborative approach to counselling: she has a superb ability to build a strong and productive working relationship with her clients. Rosemary draws on a number of evidence-based counselling models in her practice, tailoring sessions to meet the unique needs and circumstances of each client. Therapeutic techniques that Rosemary uses include: Transactional Analysis, Gestalt Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, specialist Relationship Therapy, Body-Centred Psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Clinical Hypnosis and Systematic Desensitisation.
