Renee is a Clinical Psychologist (AHPRA Registration No. PSY0001295119), a member of the Australian Psychological Society, associate member of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists and she is registered as a Psychologist with Medicare. She has completed undergraduate and postgraduate studies in psychology and clinical psychology including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Schema Therapy. Renee’s Master’s thesis examined the prevalence of pain and sleep disorders in young children with cerebral palsy and their association with emotional distress in parents or carers. She is currently continuing research on pain and sleep disorders in young children with cerebral palsy, and on cognition and executive functioning in children with unilateral cerebral palsy. Renee has presented her research findings at international conference.
Renee has significant experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families to assist them to address a range of problems including post-natal depression and anxiety, child sleep and feeding issues, school progress, emotional or behavioural concerns, stress, anxiety and depression, self-esteem and assertiveness concerns, chronic health and disability related issues, drug or alcohol addiction, separation, divorce and other relationship difficulties. She also has experience running parenting programs, and groups for post-natal issues, anxiety and depression, alcohol and drug use and personality disorders.
Renee’s professional interests include working with families, with individuals with disability or chronic health conditions and undertaking psychological and neuropsychological assessments with individuals of all ages to investigate a wide range of concerns including developmental, social and emotional functioning, academic performance, cognition and executive functioning, and memory.
