Renee is a Registered Psychologist and clinical Family Therapist who has been practicing in the field of Child and Youth Mental Health for over 10 years working with infants, children, adolescents and their families to build thriving connections and improve mental health and resilience. She has extensive specialist skills in assessment, evidence based treatment and intervention of a range of mental health, behavioural and emotional issues and disorders for individuals and families across the lifespan. These may include depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment issues and life cycle transitions, behavioural and developmental concerns, parenting support, relationship issues and family conflict.
Her area of specialty is Family Therapy which can involve individuals, couples or multiple family members depending on the circumstances. This approach involves understanding the individual and their strengths and difficulties in the context of their social and family systems both past and present, to mobilise their strengths and reduce suffering and distress. Renee also utilises the therapeutic frameworks of CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Attachment based therapy and theory and Systems theory.
