Ms Renata Hadzic (Psychologist)

Renata is a registered psychologist with a passion for working collaboratively with children and their parents to facilitate meaningful and lasting changes. She has a particular interest in behavioural difficulties in children, such as non-compliance and ‘temper tantrums’, and in working with parents to enhance behaviour management skills. She also has experience in the assessment of intellectual ability and academic achievement, including giftedness and learning difficulties.


Renata has worked with children, adolescents, and adults, across public and psychiatric hospitals, university and research clinics, and an ABA-based school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. She places emphasis on the importance of comprehensive assessment and a strong evidence-based approach in guiding treatment. She draws on a variety of evidence-based interventions including Integrated Family Intervention, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).


Renata completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at the University of Wollongong and a Doctor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Sydney. She has commenced the clinical psychology registrar program to gain endorsement as a clinical psychologist. She is also completing a PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Sydney, focusing on the management of chronic pain.
