Pamela has over 20 years experience as a registered psychologist, holding a clinical psychology honours degree, and a Masters degree in counselling psychology. Pamela is registered with the Psychologists Board of Australia with two specialist endorsements in clinical psychology and counselling psychology. Her Medicare clients are eligible for the higher clinical psychology rebates. Pamela has also worked in organisational management roles, as well as practising as a psychologist and psychotherapist over many years.
Pamela has specialist skills in trauma work, treating post traumatic stress disorder and survivors of abusive childhoods, and has worked a lot with defence force personnel, war veterans and their families. She also practises couples therapy, and works individually with men, women and adolescents, with a range of life issues, including depression, anxiety, and life crises.
Pamela is particularly good at establishing rapport with reluctant clients and therapy skeptics, and getting them to engage in therapy and benefit from doing so. Pamela is also enthusiastic about positive psychology approaches, and does coaching work with professionals, managers and senior executives.
