I work with adults, young people and children with any issue or concern. My specific area of interest is working with a human’s mind-body connection in order to heal, grow, find flow and connect to a meaningful life and in order to do so, I combine a somatic (body-centered) approach with psychological and creative therapies, such as art and movement, where appropriate.

I believe that every human has the potential to heal themselves and it is only when we can navigate through the darkness that we can find our light again. It is always such a humbling and meaningful experience when another human allows me to go on a part of their personal journey with them.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

I am a registered, Medicare-approved Psychologist in NSW and an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Association. I studied my 4-year undergraduate at Wollongong University where I obtained a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and completed a fifth year of study at Macquarie University where I obtained a Graduate Diploma of Professional Psychology.

I have also been fortunate to gain a wealth of experience in the community sector for the past 8 years where I have worked in the drug and alcohol/dual diagnosis sector at rehabilitation services in the Illawarra and North Sydney regions, as well as 2 years in the Nepean/Blue Mountains area working in adolescent mental health. I have also had the wonderful opportunity to work overseas in India where I mentored young Australians as we worked with local women and children to improve their lives via social business projects. Since then I have worked in private practice providing both individual and group therapy for a range of clients in both an office-based and outdoor-based setting.

I have quite an eclectic style of treatment incorporating a range of different modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindful-Based Therapy (MBT), Schema Therapy, Narrative therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).
