Jodie Wassner is a developmental psychologist who completed her Masters of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) degree at Monash University, Melbourne. She went on to spend the next fifteen years working as a psychologist in Primary and Secondary schools and ran a Melbourne-based private practice specialising in families. She is especially familiar with the issues that are likely to emerge across the developmental period and has extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, autism spectrum conditions, grief, anger, family conflict, bullying, sleep disturbance, stress management, social skills, school refusal and eating disturbance. Jodie also assesses and treats young people with behaviour and learning difficulties, liaising as required with families, schools and health professionals with discretion.

Jodie has a strong commitment to education for herself and others. She is currently supervising five provisional psychologists to guide them towards their psychology registration. Jodie has also presented at conferences and developed workshops including mental health and well-being programs for young people and parenting programs. Jodie is currently the Youth Series Facilitator for the Black Dog Institute’s Mental Health Workshops. Her warm and bright manner has made her a popular presenter and counsellor throughout Melbourne and Sydney.
