Jasmine Trigwell is a Clinical Psychologist Registrar with a Master of Psychology (Clinical) Degree from Curtin University. Jasmine works with adults, adolescents, and children and is passionate about finding ways to help people live happy and meaningful lives. Jasmine assists people with a wide range of psychological difficulties, including various forms of anxiety (e.g. social anxiety, post traumatic stress, obsessive compulsive disorder, generalised anxiety, phobias), stress, depression, adjustment problems, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and relationship problems. Jasmine also enjoys working with people who already function well in their lives but would like to enhance their well being.
Jasmine uses a range of evidence-based approaches including: cognitive behaviour therapy, meta-cognitive therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. She works collaboratively with clients to empower them to develop skills and self-management strategies that will enhance their lives and focuses on helping clients to feel safe, supported, and understood.
Jasmine is currently working part-time in a hospital setting and part-time in private practice. She has experience working with adults, adolescents, and children with a range of psychological problems in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Jasmine is a member of the Australian Psychological Society, member of the Australian Association for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Psychology Board of Australia. She is also a registered Medicare provider.
Jasmine has also conducted research examining the efficacy of cognitive behavioural therapy for low self-esteem in adolescents and investigated links between well being and feeling connected to nature. The findings from Jasmine’s research have been published in a peer-reviewed journal and presented at an international conference.
