Ms Jacqueline Darnell (Psychologist)

Jacqui’s training includes an Honours degree in Psychology, Bachelor of Applied Science and Diploma of Remedial Therapies, which supports and facilitates the work she does in promoting mental health and well-being in children and their parents, adolescents and young adults. The principles of Positive Psychology and Self-Compassion are combined with evidence-based therapies to best assist clients.

Jacqui conducts assessments related to the autism spectrum, and cognitive and adaptive functioning, and provides sessions for treatment planning and therapy for behavioural management issues, emotion regulation, anxiety and depression. Previously she has worked on the Lifeline Telephone Crisis-line, coached teenage students in Leadership programs, mentored women in business and volunteered in school classrooms from Kindy to Yr6; she has worked with all stages of development across a variety of scenarios for many years.

With her partner, Jacqui has two adult children and a big, fluffy Groodle. She loves learning and has a passion for the fun and challenging things in life. She completed her Bachelor Social Science (Honours) (Psychology) degree at Charles Sturt University, is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society and is an AHPRA Registered Psychologist.
