Ingrid is sensitive and engaging in her work, taking a collaborative approach with each client to develop a treatment plan that recognises their unique strengths and values, and works to address their current challenges, while also promoting their overall health and wellbeing. In order to best support her clients’ individual needs, Ingrid may integrate evidence-based techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Mindfulness, and attachment-based approaches.

Ingrid has experience working with adults, adolescents, children and families across hospital, private and community settings. In these settings she has worked with individuals and groups to provide assessment and treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, relationship, stress and sleep issues, and difficulties with emotion regulation and impulse control. She has a particular interest in health psychology and is passionate about providing holistic treatment to support the mind and body.

Ingrid combines a strong interest and background in research with her clinical practice. Her doctoral thesis has involved designing and delivering a group-based CBT program for people who experience vestibular migraine, to investigate whether the CBT skills and strategies introduced can help to reduce the intensity and frequency of symptoms, and improve quality of life.
