Hyranthi obtained her Masters Degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from Curtin University. She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia, and is a founding member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association. She has over 14 years experience providing psychological services in both Perth and London, within community clinics, outpatient settings and hospital settings. She currently works part time in the Health Department and part time in Private Practice.
Hyranthi has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of adults and their families presenting with complex mental health and psychological problems, as well as assisting people to manage individual and interpersonal stressors of everyday life. Areas of interest and experience include: depression and bipolar affective disorder; grief, loss and adjustment difficulties; self esteem issues; childhood abuse and neglect; trauma and post traumatic stress; anxiety disorders; personality disorders and psychological problems of ageing.
Hyranthi also offers clinical supervision tailored to individual need and interest, drawing on her experience and training in a range of therapies, including Psychodynamic, Schema Focused, Cognitive Behavioural and Interpersonal psychotherapy; with an attunement to what is arising within the therapeutic relationship.
