Federica is a registered Psychologist and has a Graduate and Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology, a Diploma in Psychological Practice and a Graduate Diploma in Sexology. She is currently completing her Masters specialization in Psychosexual Therapy at the University of Sydney. She is experienced in working with individuals, families, couples, children as well as people from CALD backgrounds.
Experience: Federica started her career working with adults who experienced gambling problems and supported them in changing behaviour patterns of abuse. Throughout her career she has helped clients with a range of presentations including Anxiety, Depression, Stress, children’s challenging behaviours, addictions, post-traumatic stress, development trauma, family therapy, communication and problem solving and anger management. She has extensive experience in providing intensive clinical therapeutic treatments within a child protection context, to address the family’s presenting problems which have been identified as causing harm to children, young people and family as a whole. Federica is completing further studies in the area of Sexology and Psychosexual therapy and is able to provide support to individuals and couples who experience relationship difficulties, troubles with intimacy, relationship counselling, as well as Pre and Postnatal Anxiety and Depression.

Approach: Federica has a caring and empathic nature. She believes in creating a strong therapeutic relationship with clients and takes a holistic approach to therapy. She uses a number of different approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and is registered to provide services for CTP and Workcover.
