Emel Solak-Richer is a registered clinical psychologist who completed her undergraduate studies at UNSW. She further completed a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology at the Australian College of Applied Psychology where she went on to teach undergraduate psychology students. Emel has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, individual and groups across a number of areas, including autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disability, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, psychosis, schizophrenia, complex personality and emotional dysregulation. She has worked in both private practice and at the Bankstown Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Clinic, the Mental Health Rehabilitation Inpatient Unit, Prince of Wales Hospital and at the Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Unit, Campbelltown Hospital.
She has co-facilitated a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy skills group, assisting adolescents to manage overwhelming emotions, improve relationships, and change unhelpful behaviours.
