Azza is an educational and developmental psychologist, as well as a clinical psychologist. She mainly works at the Illawong office, but continues to consult at the Westmead office.

Azza is very passionate in providing a range of interventions for children and their families, including individual therapy, groups programs, and strategies designed to enhance learning and social development, and to assist families and school staff in managing difficult behaviours. Throughout her professional practice and work with families, Azza developed a passion towards assisting children, adolescents and their families by providing quality based services and working in a holistic framework with educators, other allied health and referring agents.

Azza displays advanced skills in the assessment and treatment of child and adolescent difficulties, including, but not limited to: anxiety, challenging behaviours, Autism Spectrum Disorders, social and emotional concerns, learning disorders, attention deficit disorder, and other psychological presentations (e.g. anger, defiance, depression etc). She has a special interest and displays advanced skills in the assessment and diagnosis of learning disorders, autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disorders, having completed the required qualifications for eligibility to administer a number of specific diagnostic instruments.

Azza's experience and expertise in working with children and their families with a range of disorders is significant and impressive. She has worked in both the public and private sectors, including early intervention centres, schools, clinics and family centres in various regions of Sydney, and has provided a range of services to families from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Education Ms Brown holds a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) from the University of Sydney, a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology from Southern Cross University, and a Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental Psychology) from the University of Western Sydney. She has also completed the requirements to be endorsed as a clinical psychologist. Since completion of her education, Azza has been very active in advancing her competencies through her professional practice, and through continuing professional development and training. She has also completed Clinical Neuropsychotherapy Practitioner Training, which she is passionate about utilising when delivering therapy to her clients.

Azza Brown is a fully registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and holds AHPRA endorsement as both a clinical psychologist and an educational and developmental psychologist. She has previously held the role of Professional Development Coordinator of the NSW College of Educational and developmental Psychology Committee for a duration of 2 years. She was also a board member for a duration of 2 years at Luke Priddis Foundation and had assisted in the development of LPF centre for autism in Penrith.

In addition, Azza frequently runs workshops and seminars catered for educators, parents, as well as adolescents in various centres including preschools, schools as well as at other child and family centres. She has also been frequently consulted on certain general and specific topics in the media in relation to child and adolescent mental health and development.

In her leisure time, Azza likes to spend whatever time is left giving back to the community. Ms. Brown does pro bono work at an aged care centre and meets regularly with directors and educators working in childcare centres and preschools providing guidance regarding child development and education regarding early warning signs. She also attends parent and family support groups and meetings when requested providing advice and support to families with children with additional needs.

Azza is a registered service provider under the Australian Government's Better Outcomes for Mental Health Care Program. She is also a registered service provider of the Australian Government and both the Helping Children with Autism program and Better Start Program. The clinic also provides services under the Psychological Support Services (PSS), catering for Central and Eastern Sydney. In addition, the clinic offers services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Program.

Azza consults at the Westmead office, however is mainly based at the Illawong office.
