I have wanted to be a psychologist since I was in primary school. At that point it was simply because my favourite aunt and a lovely family friend were psychologists. As I progressed through schooling, I realised that I had a passion for people and their stories and that psychology would actually be a good fit for me.

I completed a Bachelor degree, an Honours degree and finally a Masters in Clinical Psychology at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia. Throughout my training and in the years that have followed, I have had the opportunity to work with lots of different people from lots of different stages and walks of life. No matter who is sitting in front of me, as a Clinical Psychologist my approach is gentle, kind, and flexible. I take the time to listen to each of my clients carefully, and together we work out a plan for how I can help them best.

While I have experience working with a range of concerns, I have two overlapping areas of passion; working with young children and working with new parents. I find it incredibly rewarding to support families through these important stages. I love the hopefulness of these early years, as I’ve seen that even small changes can make a huge difference to the overall wellbeing of the whole family in the long term.

Outside of work I enjoy reading a good book, sharing a beautiful meal or visiting new places. I am new to Cairns and am very much looking forward to exploring the part of Australia that I have heard so much about.
