Andrea is the founding director of Mental Notes Consulting and spends her time between London, the United Kingdom headquarters for Mental Notes Consulting, and Asia and Australia at the headquarters in Singapore and Brisbane, respectively. She completed a Master of Sport and Exercise Psychology at The University of Queensland and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Griffith University. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and The British Psychological Society (BPS) as well as the APS College of Sport and Exercise Psychologists and the BPS Division of Sport and Exercise Psychology. She is a registered Sport and Exercise Psychologist with the Psychological Board of Australia for her work within Australia, and a Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Psychologist and a Chartered Psychologist with the BPS for her work within United Kingdom. She is based in London and is a Senior Sports Psychologist at the English Institute of Sport (EIS) for Great Britain Women’s Hockey and the Sport Psychologist for the professional staff at Surrey County Cricket Club. Prior to moving to London Andrea consulted to Sport Singapore as their Head of Sport Psychology and worked primarily with Singaporean national athletes and coaches from Singapore Sailing and Singapore Golf Association’s Golf Excellence Program. Whilst based in Singapore she continued to be the Sport Psychologist for the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) sprint canoe-kayak program. During her early professional years in Australia Andrea was the sport psychologist for the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) golf, tennis, and athletics programs. Outside of EIS, SS, QAS, and AIS, Andrea consults to international, national, and state sporting organisations, schools and colleges, and private academies, in addition to private individuals. Andrea has been involved in four Olympic and Paralympic Games campaigns (2004, 2008, 2012, & 2016); Great Britain women’s hockey, Australian sprint canoe-kayak, 100m hurdles, and triathlon, as well as Singaporean and Mexican sailing at the Olympics, and Singaporean swimming and Australian long jump at the Paralympics. The golf clientele includes professional tour players on several international tours and elite amateurs, as well as consulting for several years to the Professional Golfers Association of Australia. Andrea completed a PhD at Griffith University on optimism training and golf performance. She has experience lecturing and tutoring sport and exercise psychology at Griffith University, Queensland University of Technology, and The University of Queensland. Andrea prepared and delivered the inaugural sport psychology module at National University of Singapore in 2011. Specialties: Andrea has extensive practical experience working as a sport psychologist with high achieving clientele, predominantly elite professional, semi-professional, and amateur athletes, including World Champions and Olympic Gold Medalists. Her specialty sports are golf, sailing, and tennis. She also has vast experience with triathlon, swimming, canoe-kayak, and athletics. Her passion is being part of the team of professionals assisting elite athletes to take their sport to the highest level.
