Amelia is a registered psychologist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Amelia has experience conducting psychological intervention in both individual and group settings for children, adolescents and adults. Amelia has provided therapeutic interventions across a number of settings including private practice, community services, schools and a specialised trauma centre.

Amelia has a particular interest working with children and adolescents experiencing learning, behavioural or emotional difficulties. Specifically, Amelia enjoys working with children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and conducting cognitive, educational and learning assessments.

Amelia has also conducted research in the field of resilience, mindfulness and psychological wellbeing. She is passionate about enhancing resilience, early intervention and working from a positive psychology framework.

Amelia is trained in a variety of evidence based therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focussed CBT, and Mindfulness based interventions.

Amelia has a naturally warm and compassionate approach to working with young people making it easy for her to relate to kids of all ages. Amelia combines this with her experience to provide parents the tools required to help their children both within the home and at school.
