Anne Ward is a Consulting Psychologist whom is fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and maintains Associate Membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology with 1st Class Honours) from Charles Sturt University and is currently completing her Masters in Clinical Psychology at Charles Sturt University.
Anne has extensive experience helping children, adolescents and adults experiencing a range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, phobias, adjustment disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, sleep disorders, eating disorders and pain management. Her understanding of mental health, childhood development and human behaviour is extensive.
Anne also conducts assessments for children and adolescents experiencing learning and behavioural difficulties. This includes the assessment of Specific Learning Disorders (Dyslexia) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She can help identify individual learning strengths and weaknesses to assist families in accessing appropriate supports.
In addition to her university education, Anne has undertaken further extensive training in a range of evidence based therapies that form part of her clinical practice. She possesses a highly developed skill set in treatments such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Clinical Hypnosis, Art Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). Given the complexity of modern living, Anne is also passionate about helping people of all ages to develop resilience skills to optimize mental health and coping. Anne is currently undertaking research develop our understanding of Resilience and Wellbeing.
