Tomas provides individual psychological support and treatment to children, adolescents, and adults for a range of presenting issues. Tomas understands that no two clients are alike, and as such, tailors his approach to the individual. His counselling style is about building a relationship to work together with the client so that they can determine and pursue the goals that are most important to them, not someone else’s agenda. Tomas works primarily with the psychological therapy techniques of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness. He began professional training in ACT 3 years ago while completing his Masters Degree in psychology (sport and exercise), and continues training and education above and beyond the standard requirements set forth by the APS in order to be up to date and expert at helping his clients achieve their most desired outcomes. Tomas has worked with individuals and groups in the field of sport and performance including musicians and the performing arts. In 2016 he was the performance psychologist for the Australian Paralympic Swim Team including at the Paralympic Games in RIO.
