Hurstville Highpoint Medical Centre is pleased to welcome and now offer the additional services provided by Matthew Hoffmann who joins the team as our Chiropractor.

Matthew graduated from the University of New South Wales with a bachelor of science majoring in anatomy and then completed his Masters in Chiropractic at Macquarie University. He has most recently been working for quite a few years in Newcastle area and there he regularly worked with the Newcastle Knights first grade rugby league team as well as the Jets soccer team and elite triathletes in the area. However Matthew is an advocator and supporter of chiropractic care for people of all ages whether it be the weekend warrior, families - including pregnant women as well as children of all ages and the elderly or 'young at heart' patient.

All treatments are tailored to the individual. Common conditions that may be helped and where great results can be achieved include back and neck pain, headaches, shoulder and knee issues etc.

Chiropractic care differs from physiotherapy in that there is more of an emphasis of mobilisation or 'adjustments' of the joints. This restores normal joint movement to the area to improve the function of the joints and also provide relief of symptoms. Dry needling, muscular or massage therapy and heat packs may also be used to address and corresponding or associated muscular issues.
