I completed a Bachelor Psychology Degree at the University Of Western Australia at the age of 22 and became involved in the development of CanTeen; The Australian Teenage Cancer Patients Society (Adolescent Mental Health, Grief and Loss) in Western Australia and worked with the organization for over 5 culminating in receiving the West Australian Young Achiever of the Year Award for Community Service. Over the following 9 years I worked in the roles of Senior Counsellor and Team Leader with The Richmond Fellowship (WA) (Adult Mental Health) and Senior Counsellor, Team Leader and Service Co-ordinator at Youth Focus (Adolescent Health, Suicide and Self Harm).

At the age of 35 I completed a Masters of Counselling Psychology at Curtin University and now hold the Specialist Title of Counselling Psychologist. I have now been in private practice for over 18 years seeing adolescent, adult, couple and family clients with a variety of complex life issues and moderate to severe mental health presentations.

I am also the Director of the Specialist Psychological Outreach Team (SPOT) team of Psychologists. I have trained and supervise all the SPOT psychologists.

I have a broad spectrum and eclectic range of psychotherapeutic techniques that I can utilize in our therapy including: Cognitive-Behavioural (CBT), Rational Emotive (RET) and Mindfulness, Narrative, Psychodynamic, Gestalt and Existentialist, Relational, Emotionally Focussed and Attachment based Developmental Psychotherapies. Therapy is tailored to your individual psychotherapeutic needs and goals of therapy are collaboratively decided so you are fully engaged in the decisions and the process along this journey.
