I am a Clinical Psychologist with 10 years of experience working with children, teenagers and young adults with Type 1 Diabetes. Currently I am the Senior Clinical Psychologist for the Young Adult Support Unit, at the Mater Hospital. We specialise in treating 16-25 year olds with complex medical problems. In terms of my approach, I work collaboratively with families. I try to listen carefully to each person’s story and make sense of what has happened over time. I can also treat teenagers and young adults with anxiety, depression or relationship difficulties. I have formal training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), although in practice I combine this with general counselling approaches. At a personal level, I am married with three children. I enjoy sports of all kinds (but especially tennis), bushwalking and reading.
