Janet has joined neuroCare because she believes that the concept of neuroplasticity combined with advances in neuroimaging, neuromodulation and brain-computer interfacing will dramatically shift treatment protocols to deliver individualised targeted therapies Janet has 25 years’ experience in the assessment and treatment of adult mental health and intellectual disability. She has worked in a range of settings including private practice, Department of Ageing, Disability and Homecare, St John of God Hospital, employee assistance programs and conducting workplace injury reports. She is currently a long-standing panel member on the Guardianship Division of the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the Mental Health Review Tribunal, and is, secretary of the APS neurofeedback and psychology interest group.
Janet has a Master of counselling psychology degree. She undertook her master’s research at St John of God Hospital investigating rates of depression in fathers when mother was an inpatient diagnosed with postnatal depression.
Janet has joined neuroCare because she believes that the concept of neuroplasticity combined with advances in neuroimaging, neuromodulation and brain-computer interfacing will dramatically shift treatment protocols to deliver individualised targeted therapies that can complement (and in some instances even replace) pharmaceuticals and “talk therapies”.
