Jacky is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). He works full time at our clinic offering assessment services for children and adolescents.
Jacky provides individual therapy services and is proficient in delivering psychological interventions including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), behavioural management, parent training, and social skills training. He has worked with children and adolescents with various presentations including anxiety, emotion regulation problems, attentional difficulties, challenging behaviours, and social skills deficits. Jacky is experienced with conducting cognitive and learning assessments, and is also available for school observations to provide recommendations for supporting a child’s learning and development.
Jacky has had extensive experience working with children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder in the last five years. He was trained as an Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapist from Lizard’s Children Centre and has previously delivered early intensive therapy to children presenting with challenging behaviours and social skills difficulties at ABAlink. Jacky has worked at the Sydney Clinic, a private mental health hospital, where he facilitated psychoeducation groups and delivered short-term CBT to adults with major depressive disorder, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome, and substance use disorder.
Jacky completed his Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at the University of Sydney with First Class Honours and furthered his studies with the completion of a Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the Australian College of Applied Psychology. He has published his Masters thesis on the relationship between circadian rhythms and mood disorders in the Journal of Affective Disorders.
Jacky currently works at our Illawong and Westmead offices. He works Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and every second Saturday at our clinic.
