Greg is a General Psychologist with 18 years’ experience in the public and private sectors. With a practical and warm approach to working with his clients Greg is easy to talk with. He has a particular interest in humanistic psychology and seeing clients dealing with depression, anxiety, life transition and adjustment concerns, relationship issues, trauma and stress. He has extensive experience in working with migrants and international students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds including developing and delivering courses as a Lecturer with the UQ School of Medicine for 9 years.   Greg uses a practical, humanistic approach to counselling utilising Solution Focussed Therapy, Problem Solving and Decision Analysis, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and existential approaches. For relationship issues Greg uses couples therapy including the Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP). For trauma and stress related issues Greg utilises Mindfulness, Guided Imagery, Trauma Focused CBT and EMDR. He is also an advocate for the healing powers of nature. Greg has a long standing interest in the fields of trauma and stress and is a graduate of the Global Mental Health: Trauma and Recovery program of the Harvard Medical School. Throughout his career, Greg has provided group and individual critical incident debriefing sessions, management support, and professional development sessions. In October 2017 Greg was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to undertake an international study in 2018 investigating mental health programs and initiatives that support successful refugee resettlement.   Greg maintains a number of voluntary activities including as a member of the Disaster Response Network of psychologists and has worked with the Red Cross following natural disasters in Queensland. He also provides a pro bono psychology clinic for asylum seekers accessing the Romero Centre in Brisbane.
