Emma is a Registered Psychologist with more than 15 years experience in counselling across community (not-for-profit), education and private sectors. Her interest in the provision of support for Allergic individuals and their families came from when her son was diagnosed with an egg and dairy allergy and later peanut, walnut and pecan. Emma is dedicated to providing evidence-based psychological support, specifically targeted at the complexities of food allergy management to address the stress and anxiety that may result after a diagnosis and through the lifespan of an individual’s management of their allergic condition. Emma is a member of the Paediatric Society of Psychologists and a member of their Allergic Diseases Special Interest Group. Emma holds General Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a Junior member of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology staying up to date with relevant research into the quality of life impact of Allergic conditions on individuals across the world.
