Elizabeth Goadby (Clinical Psychologist)

Dr Elizabeth Goadby (Lizzy) is a clinical psychologist who is passionate about working with and helping children and their families.   Lizzy completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science (with First Class Honours) at University of Queensland before completing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Griffith University. Her research interests include the utility of parenting programs for behavioural difficulties and adjustment issues surrounding caregivers of individuals with Brain Tumour. Her research work has also been published in peer reviewed journals   Lizzy has experience working in the public and private sector which has afforded her the opportunity to work with a range of psychological issues impacting on children and their families. Lizzy can provide support around emotional education and management of a variety of presenting concerns including:   Anxiety Anger Depression Parenting strategies for difficult behaviour Resilience building Social skills training School readiness Individual support for parents   Lizzy is also an accredited provider of the Triple P Positive Parenting Program and can provide psychometric testing around ability and achievement to help determine a child’s overall strengths and weaknesses.   Lizzy works hard to make sure children and their families feel comfortable during their sessions, by making them fun and engaging. The skills and strategies used in session are all based in research and evidence which enables Lizzy to provide families with the best possible care.  Lizzy is not only passionate about working with children but genuinely enjoys her work and the opportunity to help children to be happy and the best they can be.
