Dr YiZhong "Zhong" Zhuang was awarded his medical degree by Flinders University in 2010 graduating with honours. After completing his internship at Flinders Medical Centre, he underwent physician training at Royal Adelaide Hospital, with advanced training in neurology at The Queen Elizabeth and Royal Adelaide Hospitals, including a Movement Disorders Fellowship under Prof. Philip Thompson, A/Prof. Thomas Kimber and Dr. Shav Parasivam. He has experience in advanced therapies for Parkinson's disease including deep brain stimulation, levodopa/carbidopa intestinal gel, and apomorphine infusion. He has experience in the use of botulinum toxin for treatment of neurological conditions. He has been involved in numerous clinical trials for memory disorders and stroke, as well as movement disorders. Zhong is currently a consultant neurologist at Flinders Medical Centre and continues to be involved in clinical research at RAH. He has broad interests including movement disorders, epilepsy, headache, functional neurological disorders, stroke, behavioral neurology, multiple sclerosis, as well as general internal medicine and preventative healthcare.
