Dr Weng Ng is a Glaucoma specialist who holds the position of Glaucoma consultant at the Alfred Hospital and previously at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. He is also greatly interested in cataract surgery and general ophthalmology.

Weng graduated as a doctor in 1999 from the University of Melbourne with an honours degree. During his undergraduate training he won the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists’ (RANZCO) prize for Ophthalmology, the Keith Levi Memorial scholarship for Medicine and the RD Wright prize for Physiology. He completed a Master of Public Health degree through James Cook University prior to commencing his Ophthalmology training.

He performed General ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital, which was followed by a fellowship year in Glaucoma and Anterior Segment at Royal Perth hospital.

Weng speaks fluent Cantonese and Mandarin, as well as basic Malay and Indonesian.
