Stephanie was born in Hong Kong and migrated to New Zealand as a child, with her family. She did her first degree, in biomedical science, at the University of Auckland. However, she decided she wanted to “work with people rather than Petrie dishes” and moved to Canberra to study medicine at the ANU. Stephanie graduated in 2012 and worked as an intern and resident at Canberra Hospital and at a general practice in Bega. She has a Diploma of Child Health and the FPAA National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health. Stephanie speaks Cantonese.
