Stacey is a Clinical Psychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Stacey is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association and is endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency).
Stacey is passionate about working from a holistic framework that takes into account the mind-body-brain connection. Stacey has worked in a number of different hospital and community settings, and has experience in working with people experiencing a wide range of issues including those related to mood, chronic health problems, relationships, identity and self-esteem. Stacey also has a special interest in helping those who have unresolved childhood trauma and inter-relational attachment issues, as well as victims of recent sexual assault.
Stacey places great importance on the therapeutic relationship and is skilled in helping clients to feel comfortable, safe and understood. Stacey adopts strategies from a range of therapeutic approaches including Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Meta-Cognitive Therapy (MCT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Stacey enjoys working with adolescents and adults, and also has experience in working with the unique emotional difficulties experienced by older-adults.
Stacey is interested in the biological origin of emotion and cognition, and her practice is informed by the neuroscience underpinning psychological distress and healing. Stacey's goal is to help people to feel empowered to manage their physical and psychological well-being via increased self-awareness and self-compassion.
