I am a founding member of Adelaide Obstetrics & Fertility.
Originally from New Zealand, I graduated from Auckland University School of Medicine and completed most of my training at New Zealand’s leading Women’s Health Hospital.
Wanting to further my expertise in the areas of laparoscopic surgery, fertility and high risk obstetrics, I moved to Australia in 2008. It was during this time that I fell in love with the city of Adelaide and decided to permanently relocate here with my husband. I am married with two young children.
My main interests are obstetrics, fertility and IVF, gynaecology, and complex laparoscopic surgery.
It’s wonderful to be able to offer the whole package to our patients, and I am extremely proud of our team’s achievements.
We genuinely care about our patients, we treat them as we would a friend or a family member. My patients will never be just a number to me.
We’re doctors, but we’re real people too—as obstetricians, we all have families ourselves, and so we know firsthand what it’s like to be a new parent and how scary the whole process can be.
I always wanted to be a surgeon—the human body is fascinating. I’ve been very fortunate to follow my dream and develop my surgical skills, and it’s humbling and rewarding to be able to help women regain their health and confidence.
From a clinical perspective, I take pride in being thorough. Very occasionally, you realise you’ve discovered something that other doctors might have missed. And that you can make that discovery with a little camera through just a tiny hole, with next-to-no scarring, still amazes me.
One of the most rewarding things for me is when a fertility patient has success—not just getting pregnant, but the whole journey through to delivery and holding their baby in their arms.
I also love helping women by providing them with options and discussing the pros and cons. People don’t realise it, but a lot of the time you do have a choice. So let’s make the decision together.
