Dr Shiri Dutt brings with him vast experience in the areas of gynaecology and obstetrics, and is constantly working on innovative treatments to benefit his patients.
Dr Dutt works primarily in:
IVF and fertility care. Gynaecology (advanced laparoscopic surgeon). Obstetrics (high-risk, low-risk, water birth). Dr Dutt undertook training in obstetrics and gynaecology at the Australian teaching hospitals in Sydney and obtained a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) qualification. He is dedicated to medical education and has a graduate diploma in clinical education from the University of New South Wales.
Dr Dutt initially gained his obstetrics experience working in a tertiary hospital in Fiji. A need for a formal training program prompted a move to New Zealand and then to Australia.
He is currently in private practice in obstetrics and gynaecology at the John Flynn Private Hospital and provides infertility and IVF services at City Fertility Gold Coast. He is also a visiting specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist at The Tweed Hospital.
Dr Dutt’s main areas of interest are infertility and IVF, advanced laparoscopic surgery and pelvic floor reconstruction. He has attended advanced training in these procedures, including continence and total laparoscopic surgeries. He has a keen interest in micro-laparoscopic surgery.
Dr Dutt provides seamless services in fertility and IVF, prenatal care, labour, delivery and gynaecology. He practises patient-focused medicine with close attention to people’s preferences in healthcare. He provides services for water and calm/hypno birthing in carefully selected cases. Dr Dutt is the longest-serving obstetrician and gynaecologist at the Tweed and John Flynn hospitals.
