Dr Shen Wong is a vascular and endovascular surgeon who has a special interest in complex aneurysmal disease. Dr Wong completed his undergraduate medical studies at the University of New South Wales, where he graduated with honours. Dr Wong then commenced as an intern and resident at Royal North Shore Hospital, and was a Research Fellow in the Vascular Department at Royal North Shore in his third year, which enabled him to complete a Master of Medicine (in surgery) at Sydney University. Dr Wong’s specialist Vascular surgical training commenced in the UK where he spent a year as a Specialist Registrar in Southampton Hospital, before returning to Australia to further his training with years spent at Fremantle Hospital, WA, and Liverpool, Royal North Shore and Westmead Hospitals, NSW. After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2011, Dr Wong spent a year at the renowned Cleveland Clinic (USA) to attain further specialist skills in Aortic Endovascular surgery. Dr Wong has a strong interest in endovascular surgery, aortic endograft design, and both clinical and basic scientific research. He has published and presented this work in these areas at international forums, winning several awards. He has been heavily involved in the teaching of medical students and junior doctors both in Australia and abroad. Dr Wong is a consultant Vascular Surgeon at Royal North Shore and North Shore Private Hospitals. He sees patients at North Shore Private Hospital and at Frenchs Forest.
